About Us

What does Europe even mean at this point in time? Through the haywire of news about the Brexit, EU politics and refugees flooding our borders, we might forget that there’s so much more to our beautiful little continent. We realized that and a lot more people with us we hope. Inspired by trips through various European countries and all the beautiful and interesting people we’ve met, we came to the conclusion that there’s a lot of untold stories to tell. Inspiring stories about interesting people that otherwise never get heard. That’s why we created this platform. Referencing to the old Roman Forum, we intend to display the variety of people and cultures of Europe and be a digital place where people can meet and inspire each other at the same time.

“I never knew what i wanted to be ‘when i grow up’. I started my journalism study to get a degree and get my life back on some sort of track at age 23, an age when most people graduate. What I did know is that I’ve never felt more alive than the times I visited a new country, explored a new city and met awesome new people. Along the way I noticed that a lot of people in Europe still don’t get heard and a lot of great stories are untold. I want to be the voice of those people and I want to tell their stories. That’s why I started this website. That’s what this is all about.”

“Storytelling has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Literature, films, series, theater… They are all a great part of my life.  I love to escape from the world with a good book, graduated from Film and television studies and write and perform for different theatre initiatives in my hometown. To be able to tell stories from Europe that until now have been untold is a wonderful addition to my life and career wherein words and narration have always played a vital role. “

“I am Melchior van Ginkel a graduate at the school of journalism and an aspiring sports writer. When I was a young boy I had one passion: Football. Today it is still the thing that is keeping me busy the most and I hope that I can call myself a football reporter in the future. Besides football I have more interests. During my study I worked for a Dutch dj-website and music, dance music in particular, is something I find interesting as a journalist. So for Forum of Europe I will do mostly things in the music category.”
